Designing behaviour for positive change
Practical keynotes and workshops that help teams understand why change doesn’t stick and how behavioural design can create better products, services, and systems.
Hi, I’m Zac 👋
I’m a designer, educator, and speaker specialising in behavioural design and Gamification
I help organisations understand why people behave the way they do and how to design products, services, and systems that support meaningful behaviour change.
With a PhD in gamification and motivational design, my work builds on this foundation to focus on meaningful behavioural outcomes. I deliver engaging keynotes and practical workshops grounded in behavioural science and real world design practice, using the Make It Toolkit to give teams clear frameworks and tools they can apply immediately.
I work across education, government, and industry, and I’m always open to a conversation about how behavioural design can support your next challenge.

Expert-led interventions designed to shift thinking and behaviour.
Behavioural Science: The Methods Behind Magic
An interactive keynote experience
Ideal for Conferences, Corporate Events, Strategy Days
This keynote reveals the behavioural science behind why people think, choose, and act the way they do. Using engaging examples grounded in real research, the session helps audiences see familiar problems through a behavioural lens and better understand the forces shaping human behaviour.
The keynote introduces key concepts from behavioural science alongside the Make It Toolkit, a practical framework for identifying behavioural barriers and designing effective interventions. Rather than stopping at insight, the talk gives teams a shared language and mental models they can immediately apply in their work.
This session works especially well as a catalyst for deeper team workshops, creating alignment and momentum for practical behaviour change.
60 minutes for 20-200+ participants in person or virtual
The Nudgeathon: From theory to Action
A One Day Behaviour Design Workshop
Ideal for Product Teams, Service Teams, Leadership Groups
This one day workshop helps teams apply behavioural science to real challenges they are currently facing. Building on the ideas introduced in the keynote, participants work through problems using a structured, evidence informed approach rather than assumptions or intuition.
The workshop uses the Make It Toolkit to guide teams through identifying behavioural barriers, exploring why current solutions may not be working, and designing practical interventions that support better behaviour. Sessions are collaborative and hands on, with teams actively generating and refining ideas together.
By the end of the workshop, teams leave with a shared framework, concrete concepts, and clear next steps they can take back into their work, creating momentum for meaningful and lasting behaviour change.
1 day (10am-4pm) for 10–100 people in person
